The first painting made on this canvas was a portrait of an ex-partner I once had. When I got cheated on I made it into a new painting-one with meaner words scribbled on top of the portrait. Then i painted over that layer and made a new layer featuring a rubber duck that holds personal symbolism to me of percervierance as a real rubber duck had sat on my easel during this whole process. This painting is about the healing process of heartbreak.
